We have a Board of Directors and a salaried staff of four: Executive Director, Outreach Worker, Program Director, and Food Service Manager. These are augmented by 3 staff supplied by First State Community Action Programs, and a bus driver from the CHEER Community. We have several local volunteers as well.
No fee to join our Center. We schedule and offer free transportation to Dr.’s appts. for members aged 60+ who take part in the Center 2 or more days per week. Lunch is served each day to members for a $2 donation, $3 for non-members. Bus service to and from the Center is a $.50 per day donation, unless the trips is to Dover, Salisbury, Ocean City, Lewes, or Rehoboth. Those trips are $1.00 donation. We are open 8 am – 4 pm Mon. – Fri. except federal holidays when the Center is closed.
